Radical, satirist, and political activist, Abbie Hoffman was the symbol of social unrest in the Sixties. The co-founder of the Youth International Party (the Yippies), Hoffman was convicted as one of the Chicago Seven for anti-war demonstrations during the 1968 Democratic Party convention in Chicago. Hoffman gained notoriety with outrageous stunts such as throwing money on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. He wrote two books, Revolution For The Hell Of It (1968) and Steal This Book (1976).
